Okay, so here’s my dilemma: some things that work in magazines and on red carpets just don’t work in real life, and that makes me sad. I bought a pair of black booties almost exactly like these fabulous 'Beleza' Black Leather Booties by Steven (mine are Aldo) and I love them! They were exactly what I was looking for and had been longing after for months. I brought them home and left them in the box, planning on debuting them at my company holiday party. But as the day approached I got so excited that I busted them out and put them on to look at myself in the mirror. Suddenly my gorgeous and longed after booties looked ridiculous and completely out of place in the ‘real world’. I asked many friends’ opinions and unanimously the booties were declared amazing and that I was just being silly. I couldn’t bring myself to wear the booties to the holiday party, but neither have I yet worked up the courage to return them. So I guess my question is, should some shoes remain firmly on the feet of models and celebrities, or do some shoes translate into the ‘real world’?
Classic and refined, these black booties from Steven feature a smoothe leather construction. With a slightly padded footbed and almond-shaped toe, these ankle booties offer comfort and fashion.
