Spoofed (faked) sites are hugely annoying, and a bit scary if you're a regular eBay/Paypal user or do your banking online (and who doesn't, these days?).
If you use Internet Explorer (we try not to) or Firefox (yes, we like!), you can grab the Spoofstick extension and give yourself some protection. From the site:
SpoofStick makes it easier to spot a spoofed website by prominently displaying only the most relevant domain information. It's not a comprehensive solution, but it's a good start.
We also like the fact that now you can see, with a quick glance, the site you're on, without any of the "/1234/xxx.html" jazz. In any color you like, too. (Click on the little options arrow next to the Spoofstick icon after you've put it on your toolbar, and select "Configure Spoofstick").
